Live chat for SaaS and IT companies
Add chat to your marketing site and your product with one line, then connect it to your own systems using the JavaScript API, REST API and signed webhooks.
What software teams run into
Technical teams want support tools that fit in, cost little and stay out of the way.
- Per-seat pricing punishes you for bringing engineers into support.
- Support tools sit apart from your product and your other systems.
- Trial users with a small question drop off without telling you why.
- The same setup questions take your developers away from building.

How Orbis Chat fits a software team
Start with the snippet, then build as much as you need.
JavaScript API
Work with the widget from your own code.
REST API with API keys
Connect Orbis Chat to your own systems. See developer tools.
Signed outgoing webhooks
Receive events and check that they came from us.
Help centre for your docs
Publish setup articles with search in the widget, and use them as the source for the AI bot.
Unlimited agents
Add engineers to the inbox when needed, at no extra cost. Whisper notes let them advise privately.

Worked example: a stuck trial user
Someone evaluating a SaaS product gets stuck connecting it to another tool.
The help centre comes first
They search in the widget and find a setup article, though their case is unusual.
They start a chat
A rule spots the keyword "API", adds a tag and routes the chat to the technical department.
An engineer whispers
The support agent asks for advice in a private note, then replies to the customer.
The fix becomes an article
The team writes up the answer, so that the next person can find it themselves.
This is an illustration of how the features fit together, not a real customer story.
Frequently asked questions
Can I embed it inside my app?
Yes, if you can add the snippet to your pages. It is a normal script tag, using your website key.
Is there an SLA or uptime guarantee?
No. We use reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not make uptime guarantees.
Can I use our own OpenAI key?
Yes. Each account gets 100 AI replies a month, and beyond that you can add your own OpenAI API key.
